Monsieur Michel Parent compte plus de 25 années d’expérience dans les secteurs bancaire et financier et occupait auparavant le poste de directeur général du centre Desjardins Entreprises - Est de l’Ontario. D’autres expériences de travail acquises auprès de la Banque Scotia et Exportation et Développement Canada viendront appuyer ses interventions dans son nouveau poste au sein du RDÉE Ontario.
Citoyen engagé, Monsieur Parent a été membre du conseil d’administration de l’Hôpital général de Hawkesbury (HGH) et du conseil d’administration du Centre d’accès aux soins communautaires de Champlain (CCAC). De plus, il a présidé la Chambre de commerce de Prescott-Russell ainsi que l’Alliance des gens d’affaires de Prescott-Russell et a siégé au conseil d’administration du Regroupement des gens d’affaires de la Capitale nationale (RGA).
M. Parent détient un baccalauréat en administration des affaires de l’Université du Québec à Rimouski (UQAR) et une maîtrise en administration des affaires de l’Université Laval à Québec. Il a également obtenu le titre de planificateur financier auprès de l’Institut québécois de planification financière.
He has over 25 years of experience in the financial and banking sectors and was recently holding the position of General Manager of Desjardins Business – Eastern Ontario. Other positions held with Scotiabank and Export Development Canada will support his work with RDÉE Ontario.
Actively engaged in his community, Mr. Parent has been serving as administrator on the board of directors of the Hawkesbury General Hospital (HGH), and to the board of Champlain Community Care Access Centre (CCAC). He also served as President of the Prescott-Russell Chamber of Commerce and for the Prescott-Russell Business Alliance, and was administrator for the Regroupement des gens d’affaires de la Capitale nationale (RGA).
Mr. Parent holds a bachelor degree in Business Administration from the Université du Québec à Rimouski (UQAR), and a Masters in Business Administration from Laval University in Québec. He also holds the Financial Planner designation from Institut québécois de planification financière.
